1. About Famirelo

Famirelo (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates famirelo.com — a relocation research platform for families — and any associated tools, features, reports, or services we may offer now or in the future (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. Questions: hello@famirelo.com.

2. What we offer

The Services currently include, and may in the future expand to include:

Free city guides, destination pages, and relocation information.
Personalized city comparison tools and reports (free preview and paid versions).
Premium features and reports — purchased on a one-time, subscription, or bundle basis depending on the product at time of purchase.
A user account system (when introduced) to manage purchases and saved reports.
Any additional tools, data products, guides, or features we introduce over time.

We reserve the right to add, modify, pause, or discontinue any feature or part of the Services at any time, with or without notice.

3. Informational purpose — not professional advice

All content on Famirelo — city guides, cost benchmarks, school information, visa summaries, safety scores, comparison reports, single-city “Should we move here?” reports, and any other data, output, score, ranking, verdict, or recommendation — is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on Famirelo constitutes legal, financial, tax, immigration, investment, or medical advice.

Personalised reports (including but not limited to comparison reports and single-city reports) use the inputs you provide to filter, rank, and present information already published on the site. They are not bespoke professional advice and do not establish any professional, advisory, or fiduciary relationship between you and Famirelo. We make reasonable efforts to keep information current, but visa rules, school fees, rents, and regulations change without notice. Always verify critical information with official government sources and licensed professionals (immigration lawyers, accountants, financial advisors) before making any relocation, financial, or legal decisions.

4. Payments, pricing, and currencies

When you purchase any paid feature or product through Famirelo:

Payments are processed securely by our payment provider (currently Stripe). We do not store card or banking details.
Prices may be displayed in USD or other currencies depending on your location and available display options. The currency shown at checkout is the currency you will be charged in — any currency conversion is handled by your bank or card provider.
We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect purchases already completed.
Applicable taxes may be added at checkout depending on your jurisdiction.

5. Digital products, credits, and refunds

Our paid products are digital products delivered immediately upon purchase (e.g. a shareable comparison report link, access to premium features, or similar digital deliverables). By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree that:

Delivery of the digital product begins immediately upon payment confirmation.
Because the product is delivered instantly, refunds are not automatically provided.
If you experience a verified technical failure that prevents you from accessing what you purchased, contact us within 7 days at hello@famirelo.com and we will resolve the issue or issue a refund at our sole discretion.
Report credits expire 12 months from the date of purchase. Some purchases include one or more credits that can be redeemed to unlock reports (for example, a bundle purchase). Unused credits automatically expire 12 months after the purchase date and cannot be redeemed, refunded, transferred, or extended after that time. We will not issue refunds for expired credits.
Reports already created remain accessible in your account for as long as the Service is operational and your account remains in good standing, subject to the rest of these Terms. You may also save reports locally (PDF download or shareable link) at any time after they are unlocked.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time. If we permanently discontinue the Service, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to give you advance notice and an opportunity to download any reports you have already created.
For subscription products (if and when offered): you may cancel at any time and will retain access until the end of your current billing period. No partial-period refunds are issued unless required by applicable law.

6. Affiliate links and third-party recommendations

Some links on Famirelo may be affiliate links — we may earn a commission if you click and make a purchase, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence the content, data, scores, or recommendations we publish. We only link to third-party services we consider relevant and useful to our audience. Famirelo is not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of any third-party website or service we link to.

7. User accounts

If you create an account with Famirelo (now or in the future), you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to other users or the platform.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Scrape, crawl, copy, or systematically extract content or data from Famirelo without written permission.
Reproduce, resell, sublicense, or redistribute content, reports, or any part of the Services for commercial purposes.
Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
Interfere with or disrupt the security, integrity, or performance of the platform or its underlying infrastructure.
Impersonate another person or entity, or provide false information in connection with the Services.

9. Intellectual property

All content, tools, design, copy, data, generated reports, and functionality on Famirelo are owned by or licensed to Famirelo. You may share a link to your personal comparison report or print it for personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish, repackage, or commercialise Famirelo content or outputs without our prior written permission.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, virus-free, or completely secure.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Famirelo and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. For any claim related to a specific paid purchase, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for that purchase. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Famirelo operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Advertising program

Famirelo may sell sponsored placements on the site (the “Advertising Program”). If you apply to run an ad, the following terms apply in addition to the rest of these Terms. By submitting an application and a payment, you agree to all of them.

Application and review

Submitting payment does not guarantee placement. Every ad is reviewed by us before it goes live.
Approval is at our sole discretion. We may reject any ad for any reason — including reasons we choose not to disclose — and we are not required to provide an explanation.
If we reject your ad during the initial review, we will refund the full amount paid. Refunds are processed via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days.
We do not accept ads for: adult content; gambling, sportsbooks, or casinos; cryptocurrency, NFTs, or token sales; multi-level marketing, dropshipping, or get-rich-quick offers; loans, debt consolidation, or other high-risk financial products; or any product or service we deem inappropriate for our family-oriented audience. This list is not exhaustive.

Removal after approval

We reserve the unconditional right to remove any approved ad at any time, with or without notice and with or without explanation, at our sole discretion.
Removal without refund. We may remove an ad without any refund if we determine, suspect, or reasonably believe that the advertiser has engaged in any of the following: changing the destination URL after approval; cloaking, redirect chains, bait-and-switch, or otherwise sending traffic to a page materially different from what was reviewed; making misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent claims; violating applicable law or any third-party rights; degrading the quality, safety, or reputation of the destination after approval; failing to respond to reasonable requests for information; or breaching these Terms in any way. The advertiser has no claim to a refund in these circumstances.
Removal with prorated refund. If we remove an ad for reasons unrelated to advertiser misconduct (for example, an editorial decision, a redesign that retires a placement, a change in our audience policy, or simply a change of mind on our part), we will issue a prorated refund for the unused portion of the current billing period at our discretion. We are not required to provide a reason for the removal.
We may pause an ad temporarily without removing it (for example, pending information from the advertiser). Pauses do not extend the billing period and do not on their own entitle the advertiser to a refund.

No guarantees

We do not guarantee any specific number of impressions, clicks, conversions, traffic level, or business outcome from running an ad.
We may change the position, size, design, or location of any ad placement, the number of available slots, the price of future slots, or the pages on which ads appear, at any time and without prior notice. Existing approved ads will continue to run until the end of their current billing period or until removed under the rules above.
Site availability is on a commercially reasonable best-effort basis. Outages, maintenance windows, and downtime do not on their own entitle the advertiser to a refund or extension.

Advertiser warranties

The advertiser warrants that the ad creative, brand name, tagline, logo, and destination URL: (a) are accurate and not misleading; (b) comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights (including trademark, copyright, and consumer-protection laws); and (c) will not change materially without our prior written approval.
The advertiser is solely responsible for the products, services, content, claims, and post-click experience offered at the destination URL. Famirelo is not a party to any transaction between the advertiser and a visitor.
The advertiser indemnifies and holds Famirelo harmless from any claim, loss, or liability arising from breach of these warranties or from the ad or destination.

Billing and cancellation

Advertising slots are billed as recurring subscriptions. The billing cadence and price shown at checkout govern the subscription.
Advertisers may cancel at any time via Stripe’s customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals — the ad runs until the end of the current paid period unless removed under the rules above. No partial- period refunds are issued on cancellation, except as provided above for at-our-discretion removals.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes to our Services, legal requirements, or business practices. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any revisions. Continued use of the Services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
